The last of the walleye fish fries was held on December 9th. There was not as many as the two previous ones but still a nice turnout. I would like to thank the many volunteers who made this a great success. From the people who transported the walleyes from the Marina to everyone who spent hours cleaning them. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped to put on a great dinner for the fisherman, to the Marinette School staff for letting us use their facility, to the Mayor and his staff and city council members and the many Moose members who all volunteered their time to put this on. What a great community effort. All in all there must have been a hundred or more volunteers. The three fish fries raised a total of $ 5,034.59 for the new Rec Center. A well done fantastic effort. I am proud to be a member of the Marinette community and the Moose Lodge.
